Original Items: One-of-a-kind set. This group belonged to a pilot with the rank of Captain who served as a member of the U.S. Army Air Force in the China Burma India Theater (CBI) during World War Two. We have not been able to identify the officer because the name patch on his flight jacket is not fully legible and none of the other pieces are named. Included in this set are the following items:

- Type A-2 leather flight jacket in very good condition. The jacket features a branded name patch with the rank and name of the officer in English and two additional Middle Eastern and Asian languages which we believe are Farsi and Thai. On the inheritor is a leather multi-piece construction CBI patch. The reverse of the jacket shows stitching outline for where the leather blood chit was once mounted. Jacket has original lining, waistband and cuffs, there is a slash cut about 2 inches long on the right shoulder. Original TALON zipper is functional. The jacket is approximately a size 40 US.

- Four pocket Officer Class A jacket made by Desmond's tailors of Southern California. The jacket is very high quality and has some amazing handmade bullion embroidered wire patches that include; Bullion Pilot Wings, Bullion CBI patch to left shoulder, Bullion AAF patch to right shoulder, Bullion Captained bars, Bullion U.S. and Air Corps collar tabs. The patches were all in theatre made and are very rare. The jacket is approximately a size 40 US.

- Khaki cotton U.S. Army officer shirt with embroidered Captain's rank bars and Air Corps collar tabs.

- Khaki cotton U.S. Army officer neck tie.

- Original U.S. WWII USAAF Officer Khaki Crush Peaked Visor Cap - "Air Force Commander" - size 7 1/4. This visor cap, in summer Khaki issue color is used but good condition, with the iconic crush shape. This peaked cap features a gold tone WWII Army Overseas insignia over a leather visor. It features heavy canvas band construction and a leather sweatband which is in good used condition. Overall condition is good with signs of use and age, it is the real deal! There is size 7 1/4 marked with a sticker on the interior crown. as well as with a small tag under the liner. The satin crown of the cap is marked with Air Force Commander and an Army Air Force insignia. The original celluloid plastic dark orange covering is present, but it is torn in many places. Its a great looking hat that appears to have flown many missions!

Overall a very high quality USAAF CBI pilot uniform grouping with exception bullion patches and offered in very nice condition.
