Product Details

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of an early Korean War issue M2 Paratrooper pocket knife, with correct black plastic "jigged bone" handles. These are almost identical to the WWII issue, with the main differences being markings and the more durable plastic grips. These are difficult to find, however they are a much better value than WWII produced examples.

This very nice used example is in functional condition and comes complete with a bail (ring) on the end for a lanyard, indicating military issue. Condition is fair, with a nice semi-sharp blade but it does have a broken point that was resharpened. It does show some use and sharpening, as these were often used in the field. It is marked on the base of the blade with:

SCHRADE
WALDEN
NY USA

Worn in the breast pocket of the Paratrooper M2 Jump Jacket, these knives were intended for paratroopers to cut their parachute cords and anything else if they got entangled during a jump. The bail would ensure it wasn't dropped when being used to cut through parachute rigging.

Genuine examples, such as this, are exceedingly rare and hard to find.

Dimensions:
